– Pointing the toes isn’t necessarily “wrong”, but it won’t be ideal since it forces the hamstrings to take over some of the stabilization work at the knee that the calves would otherwise be doing rather than just allowing them to focus on the knee flexion component.⁣⁣
– Definitely don’t prop yourself up on your elbows as there’s no advantage to this and just makes things less stable. Firmly grip the handles at all times.⁣⁣
– A very slight bit of hip rise is probably not a big deal but usually this results from people trying to lift too heavy and using momentum, so be aware of that and ideally keep the hips mostly pinned if you want to build hamstrings with maximum effectiveness.
