Periodization – Explained Simply

PERIODIZATION is a term that is used to describe the way we organise our training blocks over the long term in order to peak in performance by a certain date. It can be used to maximise our strength, speed, power and level of preparedness for any type of sporting competition, and there are many ways of organising these training blocks and still achieve an excellent result.
This concept is a little bit misunderstood, but hopefully this video will help you understand the importance of periodisation, as well as how you can use it to make the most out of your training!
